Pilot Center and Off-road Test Track

The "Pilot Center" vehicle engineering facility provides a clear span, high clearance height, and sufficient area for performing a wide variety of vehicle engineering activities on practically any conceivable wheeled vehicle platform.  The main area is accessible through three 15 feet high overhead doors.  Access from the Pilot Center to the machining area and fabricating shop is through two interior doors adjacent to the longest bay.  This bay is 100ft in length and is capable of providing ample access around tractor-trailer or articulated urban bus.

The AEI facility is located on 21 acres.  This includes an 18 acre tract of land directly behind the testing facility that has been utilized to test numerous different types of non-road vehicles, including tractors, bulldozers, backhoes, front wheel loaders, scrapers, rollers, and compactors.
