High Speed Data Acquisition for Combustion Analysis

AEI's Combustion Analysis and Data Acquisition package was designed for our in-house use and is a robust system built on proven and reliable hardware.  This hardware is readily available off the shelf, but it’s the user interface that distinguishes AEI from our competitors. AEI has a reputation of taking even the most complicated testing scenarios and creating an easy to understand, nicely configurable and simple interface at our test cells. We’ve extended this philosophy to our combustion analysis system. The AEI system is a simultaneous 500K sample/second true differential 16 bit analog system with 4 possible channel independent input range configurations. This allows the user to maintain 16 bit resolution through +/10, +/-5, +/-2.5 or +/-1.25 Volts. Built on the Windows XP operating system, integration into a network of computers is straight forward. The system is a data acquisition, storage and user interface tool rolled into one. There is no need for a host computer although a remote host computer is supported via a very fast GigE Ethernet connection.

The base system includes:

16 analog inputs (expandable to 96 channels)

500KS/s/channel simultaneous (1 a/d per channel)

16 bit resolution •True differential input

4 Configurable input ranges: +/-10, +/-5, +/-2.5, +/-1.25 V

16 digital lines (per 16 analog inputs) configurable to be input or output at up to 10Mhz

8 analog outputs (optional and expandable)

Real-time data acquisition and computation

TCP/IP & RS232 communication and other testing tools

Peak cylinder pressure monitor output with digital latch

Proprietary streaming technology that allows the real-time data to stream to disk while acquiring.
