Financial Operations Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to support and manage key financial functions within our organization. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, supporting budgeting, reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support AEI’s financial objectives.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Columbus, Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and records
- Track project schedules in ERP system
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
- Monitor and manage cash flow and financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations
- Coordinate audit preparation and support internal/external audits
- Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize financial processes
- Support payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities
- Identify and implement process improvements across financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Accounting, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in small business operations is helpful; prior experience in a testing facility or technical environment is a plus
- Familiarity with accounting principles, financial regulations, and cost accounting methods
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
